Installing a washer/dryer combo.?
We are buying an RV (husband is retiring in 3 months.) He wants to purchase a washer/dryer combo and install it himself.
It is ventless. How hard is it to install.?? Where we saw it was an RV accessories store and they would install it for us but is $1034.00 plus installation.
Then I checked around and I found one on Ebay and they ship free and have a 5 year warranty. Also we save about $500 and we could use the extra money for other things. Thank you.
it would depend on the brand and model but all the sites i just looked at did make it seem to hard the all just said it just has to be hooked up to a water line

What type of special mechanical configurations or accessories are needed for driving an RV through higher elev?
Iam going to be driving from the Pacific Northwest to Minnesota. The route is Interstate 90 and 94, and my main concern is the extremely higher elevation of Idaho.
carburated engines used to require adjustments to run properly at high altitudes. For prolonged operation at high altitude, the size of the jets in the carb could be changed out, but then would need to be changed back when you return to a lower altitude. Some RVs used to come with a Banks system to force more air pressure into the carb for improved performance going up steep grades. But as the other poster mentioned, the beauty of electronic fuel injection is that it can adapt to altitude automatically. I have no trouble in my car, and limited issues on my motorcycle going through mountain passes in the west. Both have fuel injection. My RVs have both had carbs, one with the banks, and one without. didn’t really have much trouble with either. I think you’ll be okay. Just take your first run up to high altitude on a four lane and stick to the right lane. If the rig labors, then take it to a local dealer or shop for modification or adjustment. The shops in the mountain areas will be better at diagnosing and adjusting for altitude anyway. But if you have fuel injection, I would not expect any trouble. Even with a carb and no air boost system, you should get through okay on the interstate.
You can call ahead to the state patrol and ask about tire chains. They are not always required on the interstate, as far as I know, but some state highways and side roads require them at certain times of the year.
